Words on Wisdom

When people watch my films, listen to my music, read or listen to my words, I hope they are inspired to transform into more self-knowing and compassion human beings. Here are some specific social conventions I hope to break down so that people can move into a deeper, braver reality:

• Remaining apathetic, cynical or disparaging of the so-called “Free Tibet” campaign because you think the cause is too hopeless, too romanticized by Hollywood, too politically misguided, or just too unrelated to your own worries and concerns in life.

• Believing that meaningful social change and political revolution can only happen through the barrel of a gun or the level of a profit.

• Settling only with what is most convenient and acceptable in life instead of pursuing what you dream of doing.

• Accepting a priori categories, rules and norms promoted by media, corporations, governments and society without first critically examining and questioning them for yourself.

• Judging and harming people based on your disapproval of what music they listen to, how they dress and talk, what religion or country they are from, how much money they earn, what school they went to, what color their skin/eyes/hair is, etc.

• Not writing books, letter, poems or songs, making music or films, forming organizations and movements, engaging in heated discussions or demonstrations because you think individual agency can never change or defeat existing systems of power and control.

“We must become the change we wish to see.” Mahatma Gandhi

totally true.. I love the words and thoughts behind it and would hope many more to join with you. I am already a part of that process and I am happy for being what I like others to be as well.

your words mean nothing. your actions are contrary to that which you preach. You lie and steal. Remember talking about a world you want to create means nothing if you don't live that way yourself!
